The staff was absolutely dreadful! There's this girl, I think her name starts with a T, African American and terribly impolite. This place has great potential with friendlier, more caring staff.
Christine Bailey (8/12/25, 6:33 PM):
I must say, the YMCA Bear facility is absolutely splendid and I never miss an opportunity to sing its praises when chatting about different gyms with folks. Nevertheless, being a 73-year-old on a tight budget, the expenses are becoming quite a stretch for me. Alas, it looks like it's time to make the switch to Planet Fitness. Oh dear.
Jason Ortiz (8/10/25, 10:31 AM):
This is an awesome spot to make new mates, and the staff are incredibly helpful. The overall atmosphere is fantastic.
Diane Barnes (8/8/25, 8:40 PM):
We've been part of this gym ever since my son came into the world. The childcare service is top-notch, and the gym equipment is always being upgraded. They've got all the essentials covered, no doubt about it.
Willie Cruz (8/4/25, 4:20 AM):
Spoke with the manager today, it seems they are starting to grasp some of my concerns. I will be collaborating with management to arrange additional lessons for my child, and I will provide another update on my review soon.
Update: My son has autism, and the management here is showing willingness to accommodate him. I appreciate their efforts.
Brandon Long (8/4/25, 2:40 AM):
My experience at the YMCA has been absolutely fantastic! The staff are incredibly friendly and courteous. The facilities are immaculate and roomy. My son participated in the camp at the YMCA and he had an absolutely thrilling time. I wholeheartedly recommend this location for anyone looking to exercise, enroll their children in camp, go for a swim, or engage in any of the other amazing activities and recreational opportunities they provide. They are truly top-notch in every way!
Sarah Richardson (8/1/25, 9:41 AM):
I absolutely adore this gym, and what's even better is the kids' club! The kids' club hours are so convenient, and they really take excellent care of the little ones. I also love the option of their paid service, Parents' Night, it's simply wonderful.
Gerald Wilson (7/31/25, 2:54 AM):
I've been coming to this gym since I was a nipper of 10 years old. A decade on, I'm hitting the big 2-0 soon. The staff are a friendly lot, the vibe is top-notch, and there's a plethora of workout options to choose from. This place is my little slice of happiness!
Beverly Diaz (7/31/25, 1:11 AM):
I happened to witness a lady from the reception area taking items for the business, like toilet paper, out to her car. It struck me as peculiar that she arrives at 4 AM and doesn't allow anyone entry until 4:30, not even fellow colleagues.
Diana Jones (7/29/25, 4:11 PM):
Outstanding instructors, staff, and volunteers! I constantly feel embraced at this establishment. The range of workout spaces is top-notch, enabling you to pursue any fitness routine amidst fantastic individuals and a pristine, modern facility.
Harold Jordan (7/27/25, 7:19 AM):
I cannot believe the exorbitant prices for summer camp! $330 per week for a child to attend a community facility's summer camp?! And to top it off, financial assistance is only accessible to individuals who earn a specific income threshold. On top of that, if you're already paying nearly $100 per month to be a member, the cost skyrockets to $245 per month. What a letdown.
Elizabeth Graham (7/25/25, 9:04 AM):
Attentive team! Encourage wholesome activities to keep the little ones moving! Enjoyable arts and crafts sessions!
Adam Rodriguez (7/24/25, 9:58 AM):
What a fabulous spot! The customer service is top-notch, and my daughter absolutely adores it here. Huge shoutout to Mr. Aj & Ms. Ebony for making her experience with the WOW PROGRAM so memorable this year. Thank you all for your hard work, it means a lot to me. They definitely keep her busy and engaged. ☺️
Charlotte Morales (7/19/25, 4:06 PM):
I do adore visiting the Bear YMCA! The staff is so well-informed. Kelly M (Fitness Instructor) consistently took the time to greet me every visit. It was incredibly inviting! I do miss her, haven't crossed paths with her in some time, looking forward to seeing her soon!
Joseph Martin (7/18/25, 3:51 PM):
I absolutely adore the TRX and Zumba classes provided at this establishment! The amenities are top-notch and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Moreover, the Y stands out as one of the few gyms that provides childcare services during your workout sessions. Recently, we participated in a delightful family exercise class that proved to be quite enjoyable as well!
Catherine Gonzalez (7/16/25, 7:44 AM):
We didn't have the chance to check out the indoor facilities, but let me tell you, the outdoor pools are absolutely brilliant! Both my 9-year-old and my 3-year-old had a blast.
Scott Brown (7/16/25, 4:23 AM):
I've been popping in and out of this gym for a good couple of years now. It was top-notch to begin with, but over the past year, it has gotten mighty busy, especially during certain times of the day where there ain't even space to catch your breath (I'm working full time and can't make it during the quieter hours). I'm also a bit miffed because when my debit card got replaced with one of those new-fangled chip ones, I tried ringing them up multiple times with no luck. Left 'em a voice message but didn't hear back. Rang again and got shuffled to the membership department, where I waited on hold for a good 6 minutes before throwing in the towel. Real shame that is, 'cause the folks at the gym are always a friendly lot when you see 'em in person. I get they might be swamped in the offices, but I ain't got all the time in the world to keep on dialing 'til someone picks up.
Susan Nguyen (7/13/25, 3:16 AM):
I am just an average lad who scrapes together money every single month to spend at this place. I always pay on time with no complaints. However, every day after school when I come here, they close the gym on me. I wouldn't mind if it was just one day a week or something, but I give them my hard-earned cash to use the basketball courts, and yet they continually shut them down. They don't keep their promises, and the whole staff at this Y is impolite and very careless with their work. I am more than willing to elaborate for anyone who asks, so if you want to make my life easier, please stop shutting down the sports gym right after school lets out. It truly makes no sense whatsoever. I have been unjustly scolded multiple times by a particular staff member, and the place is not well-maintained. All I can say is that they are swindlers for taking my money and not holding up their end of the bargain.
Emily Reyes (7/7/25, 8:19 PM):
I absolutely adore the YMCA, but crikey, it's becoming a bit pricey to keep up with my membership. Nearly a hundred bucks a month! I'll have to give it a miss, cheers.
Olivia Mitchell (7/7/25, 1:22 PM):
Absolutely love this gym! The atmosphere is so fun and safe, and the cleanliness of the facilities is top-notch. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. 10/10 recommend!
