I found the owner to be quite impolite and unhelpful towards me and my offspring. She attempted to dissuade me from enrolling both of my offspring in the program. Furthermore, she openly stated in front of my 6-year-old son that he was unable to read!
Philip Cruz (8/15/25, 5:35 AM):
Enrolling my three children in the Bear's Kumon has truly been a wise use of my funds. Thanks to Sonali's exceptional teaching, they are all excelling three years ahead of their grade level. I am extremely proud of their progress! I highly recommend considering enrolling your children here. Sonali dedicates her full attention to each child and ensures they achieve success not only in the classroom but also beyond it!
Roy Long (8/14/25, 1:40 AM):
Both of me children have been attending this learning center for 11 months now. We are thrilled with the progress they've made. Me daughter, who be in 5th grade, be excelling in her studies and is now working at a 6th grade level. Afore we found the Kumon of Bear, she be struggling in school and lagging behind her peers. I be overjoyed with the improvements I've seen and would wholeheartedly recommend this center to any parent looking to foster strong study habits in their children. Me little ones adore Ms. Sonali Pandit.

Barbara Jenkins (8/11/25, 11:02 AM):
The diversity in perspectives is truly fascinating. In the past two years, my experience with having my two children enrolled in Kumon has been quite positive. While it can be challenging to motivate them to attend and complete their work, the results have been worthwhile. Unlike public schools, the center doesn't rush through concepts, cater to the average student, or inflate grades unintentionally. Some may expect Kumon to transform their child into a prodigy within a few months, but my focus is on long-term retention as my kids tend to excel in cramming. The speed at which they learn is just as crucial as the quantity of problems they solve. Occasionally, they have had to repeat worksheets, which, rather than being a scam, I see as an opportunity to truly grasp the material.

Sonali collaborates with me and gives a heads-up on the target level, demonstrating dedication to helping students progress. She and her team uphold strict policies regarding cell phone usage and somehow manage to hire responsible adults and mature teenagers with minimal turnover. Despite the challenges of running a demanding educational center, the consistent hours, respectful staff, dependable graded assignments, and readily available assistance make the learning environment reliable and supportive.

I would advise against leaving your child unattended at this establishment, as there have been reports of discriminatory behavior from one of the staff members. It is important to ensure your child's safety and well-being at all times.

Andrew Watson (8/2/25, 12:04 AM):
I must say, we've noticed a significant improvement in our little one's reading skills ever since we started with the program. It can be quite challenging to make time for those 20 minutes of daily assignments, but it's definitely worth it. Our child is now identifying more words without needing to sound them out, and writing with greater independence and fewer spelling mistakes. Thanks to the program and the amazing teachers here, they are truly unlocking our child's hidden talents!
Ryan Fisher (8/1/25, 1:01 AM):

Peter Cruz (7/28/25, 1:42 AM):
Although I am a bit delayed in sharing my feedback, as they say, better late than never. In my opinion, Kumon is a fantastic concept and curriculum that can truly benefit children aged 4 to 12, if not those older than 12. However, from the perspective of the learning center itself, there are some areas that need improvement. The management is lacking and the owner of the center comes across as rather unpleasant. During our first encounter, she made disparaging remarks about other parents, which we found quite off-putting. Additionally, she would make disrespectful comments under her breath towards the children, which is unacceptable. While we understand that repetition is a key component of the Kumon method, we later discovered that the center would recycle the same worksheets repeatedly, seemingly to prolong the process and generate more revenue. When we were relocating from DE, the owner did not facilitate a proper transfer of my son's progress points to the new location, but luckily we found a wonderful new center with a supportive owner.
Alice Barnes (7/26/25, 3:58 PM):
Kumon, Eden Center, and Bear really knocked it out of the park with my son. Sonali and her team of tutors were absolutely fantastic, I'm at a loss for words to express my gratitude. They were so understanding and totally committed to helping my son enhance his math and reading abilities. I would wholeheartedly suggest Kumon Bear to any child in need of additional support with math and English tutoring. Bravo, guys!
Janice Carter (7/25/25, 1:40 AM):
I must say, this experience could have been much more positive if it were possible. My child kept receiving the same booklets over and over again. When I addressed this with Sonali, she explained, "We do that if your child hasn't fully grasped the information." To which I responded, "Then why did my child receive a certificate of mastery for this booklet level?" She then backtracked and apologized for the oversight, attributing it to being very busy. However, despite our conversation, my child continued to receive repeated booklets three more times.
In one session, Sonali even asked MY CHILD, "Do you have ADD?" My child was quite upset when recounting this to me, and I firmly told Sonali, "It's inappropriate to ask a child such questions. You should address parents." She began apologizing while smiling profusely, which struck me as extremely odd. I found Sonali to be condescending and insincere in her interactions. My suggestion would be to seek out a more organized program with a director who genuinely cares about children. The support staff at the Bear location consisted mostly of older teens who seemed more focused on texting and joking around rather than assisting children. There were only a few (literally 3) who appeared to show real concern.
In my opinion, this program is best suited for young children who benefit from rote memorization. However, my 13-year-old child went from enjoying the program in the first month to having a complete change in mood when it was time for sessions. When my child shared the comments Sonali made under her breath about some children, I knew it was time to find a better fit.
Furthermore, when it came to breaking down math concepts to ensure understanding, Sonali's program proved to be quite ineffective. Once again, I believe it would be better suited for children aged 3 to 8.
I wish you all the best in finding the most suitable program for your child(ren). As one dedicated parent to another.
Arthur Jackson (7/24/25, 11:56 AM):
